Stays in Honolulu

Aloha! It has been quite a challenging year for everyone around the world. The pandemic has still shown no sign of slowing down with continuous lockdowns and a sense of unpredictability looming in the air. That combined with a cold winter have made many wish they were basking under coconut trees, wearing minimal clothing and sipping a Tiki Rum cocktail on a secluded beach somewhere.  However although things have been looking rather gloomy, luckily summer is finally upon us. With vaccinations steadily rolling out and regulations brought to somewhat of a minimum in certain areas things are starting to look up. So now that travel actually seems feasible we’re thinking why not Hawaii for our summer getaway?

Described as the land of ‘beautiful sunsets’, ‘killer waves’ and ‘no worries’ Hawaii is located on the west of the United States, consisting of a group of volcanic islands in the seas of the Pacific ocean. Kauai is one of the main 5 islands in Hawaii, known for its natural beauty and diverse landscape. If you enjoy adventure, hiking and roughing it out Kauai is a go-to, as it does not provide over the top luxury accommodation and is ideal for the no fuss traveller. If you like the balance between adventures but with a plush hotel bed to crash in for the night, Maui offers the best combination of impressive wildlife, history and plenty of activity. The big Island is named after its geographical size, black and white beaches contrast with snow peaked mountains. Lush green jungles contradict with a few active volcanoes; the big Island is rare in a way the others are not. Lanai is probably the most remote and offers a more culture-based experience. Last but not least is the happening island of Hawaii; Oahu, with its capital of Honolulu, it is best known among the islands. Oahu offers the all round experience with plenty of famous attractions, cosmopolitan luxury, skyscraper city and vibrant restaurants. However the beauty of Oahu is that while it is buzzing with activity it provides the opportunity to kick back on a secluded beach while enjoying star class luxury. Whether you’ve travelled to Honolulu before or it is your first time you cannot go wrong with their accommodation. The best-enjoyed feature about Oahu is its natural beauty and world-renowned hospitality, so how do you choose your vacation getaway?

Here are my 3 suggestions for the best stays in Honolulu.

The Modern Honolulu by Diamond Resorts

The name speaks for itself; sleek and modern designed rooms with spacious ocean views. Located on the south shore of Oahu, this hotel achieves the balance of state of the art accommodation while embracing organic luxury with large windows and loads of natural light. It is said to be ‘the best boutique hotel in Hawaii’ with two outdoor pools, restaurants and marina and there’s only one way to find out!

The Khala Hotel & Resort

If you are a foodie, The Khala Hotel is a great idea. Equipped with 5 different restaurants serving various cuisines it’s the cherry on top of a 5 star cake. This hotel is minutes away from the entertainment center of Honolulu with privacy as its main objective. Located on a secluded beach The Khala Hotel provides a wealth of amenities. They take great pride in their initiative for Sustainability, Culture and Arts with diverse activities catering to elite vacationers, business professionals and everyone in-between.

Outrigger Reef

The Outrigger Reef focuses on wellness and healing and what better way to focus on health than in an island resort surrounded by natural beauty. This hotel does justice to its purpose by presenting a fresh version of hospitality by combining timeless traditions of art and culture with a modern twist. They are also committed to reef conservation throughout the Outrigger zone.

The commonality with all Honolulu resorts is providing seclusion and peace in a city that’s bursting with life. With only a 10-day quarantine or negative covid-19 test result needed the Honolulu one of a kind experience in awaiting you.
