Hotels- Tipping at hotels in Italy is not necessary but it will be appreciated. You can tip the porter around 5 euros and concierge about 1 to 2 euros.

Transport from Florence Airport.

 

There are 2 ways to get from Florence Airport to city center - by bus and taxi

Bus.

The only bus service available from Florence airport to the centre of the city is the Volainbus shuttle. The trip starts from the airport bus station and ends at the Santa Maria Novella train station. Services from the airport are offered every 30 minutes from 05:30 to 23:00, without a night service. Tickets for the shuttle bus cost €6 one way and the journey lasts approximately 25 minutes.

Taxi

Taxis from Florence airport are usually white with the distinctive black and yellow taxi roof sign. Additionally, the vehicles carry the company logo along with various contact and fare information. Taxi services are available 24/7 at the airport and trips to the central district of Florence will normally last 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the traffic. Finally, prices among taxi companies do not vary significantly, with an average rate of €25.
