Las Vegas

Las Vegas is an internationally renowned major resort city, known primarily for its gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife. Other must-visit attractions in Las Vegas include the Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian mall that features a nightly light show, and the High Roller Observation Wheel, which offers stunning views of the city from 550 feet in the air. The stakes are high here not only in the casinos but also with the star class luxury, food of the Gods and of course entertainment to satisfy any type of craving. It is addictive so you might need more than a weekend trip to live it all.

Tipping.

Restaurants and bars- For good service at any restaurant in Las Vegas, a 15% to 20% is the standard. However, if you receive poor service, you can tip a little bit lower.

Taxi- For a fare below $15, it's customary to at least tip your taxi driver $1.

Hotels - A rule of thumb is to tip $2 to $3 per night, or more if you're particularly messy, have kids, or more than two people in the room.

Transport from Vegas Airport.

There are 4 ways to get from McCarren Airport to the Strip - by private shuttle, bus, airport shuttle and taxi.

Private shuttle/Taxi.

These two methods are the easiest and most convenient mode of transport to the Strip. There are sixteen taxicab companies in Las Vegas, and all of them have specific vehicle colour combinations and vehicle numbers. They offer a flat-rate fee of around $23 USD (€18.50) taxi. However if you get a taxi you must check with the driver about any additional charges.

Shuttle Bus.

Travelling by bus is not the most common mode but is available if necessary. The bus will stop at around 3 to 5 hotels on the way and takes a travel time of about 30 to 40 mins.

The normal bus can also be taken but is usually a more low cost mode and can take long travel times.
