Soon midsummer in Stockholm

Stockholm situated on an archipelago of 24,000 islets crossed by numerous waterways, giving it a unique charm from other cities in the world. The days are long in the summer, as darkness only visits for a few hours each night and culminates around midsummer, this Friday. Even though midsummer usually means that many Stockholmers leave the city for their country houses, the strange times we live in still makes Stockholm an attractive choice as most things are open throughout the Covid 19 crisis.

So from a local, my best recommendations for your midsummer weekend trip to Stockholm is…

Sturehof

Credit: Swedish Paws

Sturehof is far from an ‘ordinary’ restaurant. With a proud history spanning over a century and a prime location on the south side of Stureplan in Stockholm, Sturehof is a bustling meeting place – a stage that is intensively alive from mid-morning to late at night, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Milles

Opened in 2013, Milles is the choice for those who like a lovely atmosphere at Stockholm's best address. It might be tricky to get a table if you are not local but give it a try!

Oaxen Slip

Oaxen Slip serves their interpretation of Swedish bistro fare, hearty and uncomplicated dishes, many of which are for sharing by two or more. Oaxen Slip is a natural rendezvous with a mixed crowd, a friendly restaurant you can frequent a-lot.

Of course there are many other good restaurants as It is proud to have almost as many as Paris by person, the best of these can be found in the app, Other thins you will find is where to have a drink (and normally party) where to stay in Stockholm as well as what to do in Stockholm and what the best shops are.
